The good news is that you can put all your music and podcasts and audio books on one iPod and take it with you everywhere you go. The bad news is that if you wanted to share that music or those podcasts with anyone else, you’d have to carry an iPod speaker system with you from room to room. Of course you have other options available, but they’re not cheap. Now you have a solution that is simple to setup, sounds good and best of all it’s affordable.
The EOS Wireless Audio System starts with a base station that holds your iPod, any iPod, with an auxiliary audio-in port for other audio sources. The base station has a solid set of speakers built in and come with a remote that allows you to control your iPod and the volume of speakers on the base station only, not the satellite speakers.
Speaking of the Satellite speakers, they are the second part of the Wireless Audio solution from EOS. With the Core system you receive the base station and one satellite speaker unit for $249 retail. (On sale now for $199). Additional satellite speakers are $129 retail, ($99 on sale now). You can add up to 4 satellite speakers to the base station. That’s 5 rooms or areas of coverage up to 150 feet from the base station in and outside your home or office. The satellite speaker unit has a remarkable sound for a single speaker system. The speaker unit is a self-contained amplified unit with 2.1 sound and SRS. The booming bass might not be there, but the sound is very good overall.
The EOS wireless speakers are ready to go out of the box. Just plug them into any outlet and turn up the volume to the level you need and that’s it. Optionally, the power supply in the speaker can be removed and you can set the speaker on a counter, shelf or the floor. The speakers can easily plug into an exterior outlet and allow you to listen to music or your podcasts while grilling out or around the pool.

As an added feature, you can plug your EOS Wireless Audio system into your computer headphone jack and wirelessly stream Pandora, Rhapsody, Last FM or thousands of internet radio stations through your home. With iTunes and your iPhone or iPod Touch and Apple’s free Remote Application you can browse and play your entire music library, playlists and even use search to find your favorite songs and artists … all from the palm of your hand.
I love how it sounded playing my favorite podcasts, and my wife enjoyed listening to her audio books while outside on the patio or working out in the basement. We were even able to plug a speaker into an outside jack and enjoy music while we relaxed in the hot tub. It was simple to setup and very simple to use. The EOS Wireless system is worth the cost in my opinion, especially if you can purchase it at the sale price on the website, http://www.eoswireless.com.

I really like this wireless speaker system. It’s cool that you can use your iPod as well to feed it music.
