Lynda Weinman was the reason I started coding HTML back in the mid 90′s. Her books on designing websites and online graphics were the bibles of web design to thousands of people like myself. Her books were so good because Lynda was a teacher first and a designer second. She started a training facility in California and has been on the road teaching in conferences and seminars since she wrote her first books. Lynda has written and lectured on every aspect of creating Web content and on every application available with which to do it, from Photoshop to Dreamweaver to Flash. Now she heads the online training center at lynda.com. Lynda.com has over 150 online training tutorials along with CD’s and books. If you need to learn a program, lynda.com is the place to go. I could not be more excited then to have Lynda visit with us on the MacReviewCast.

Peter Lewis founded Stairways Software in 1995 to further develop and sell the world-class Mac software that made him famous. Stairways software is based in Perth, Australia, where Peter is now CEO and president of the company. Peter’s goal was to bring high quality Internet and Unix tools to the Mac, combining the traditional Mac ease-of-use with the power of the Internet and Unix. This placed Stairways Software in exactly the right position to capitalize on the massive growth of the Internet from less than one million computers to hundreds of millions. The familiarity with Unix also proved invaluable as Apple transitioned Mac OS to the Unix-based Mac OS X. In 2001, Matthew Drayton joined the company, bringing with him his knowledge of Mac OS X and a strong commitment to quality. Matthew leads the development effort. Peter continues to stay close to his customer base by handling the tech support issues. I’m very happy to have Peter Lewis on the Macreviewcast.
