Hi Tim, and all the lovely Mac Reviewcast Listeners! Allison Sheridan of the NosillaCast podcast here, hosted at podfeet.com. Today I’d like to tell you about the newest version of Parallels Desktop, the virtual machine software for the Mac. I’ve got a special place in my heart for Parallels as I was involved in the [...]
Most people are way too critical of their own photographs and they tend to compare their photos to top professionals. Even my 91 year old Mom does this. I want everyone to stop this. Did you hear me? Stop being so critical of your own work. Back off, relax and enjoy your photography.
Kelby says on the cover that his book is the step-by-step secret to make your photos look like the pros! His description is pretty accurate. While this book will help, you still need the vision to pull off great photos.
This week we celebrate three years of podcasting! Our special podcast gives you an upclose and personal visit with all the folks that make the MacReviewCast special. I want to thank you for downloading and listening to the podcast. We have the best in Mac hardware, software and websites reviews. Thank you so much for putting up with me for three years. I hope I can do another three with your help.
You can email me at surfbits at Gmail dot Com. I love to hear from you.

So on to try out TypeIt4Me. TypeIt4Me is a System Preference Pane like TextExpander, while Texter and RapdioWrite are standalone applications. TypeIt4Me has two panes, the left pane lets you enter new clippings, while the right pane shows you the results of the clipping. TypeIt4Me does one thing I don’t think the other apps can do – it lets you specify what apps your shortcut works in. Let’s say you need your signature in email but that same set of characters happens to be a standing command in another app, then you wouldn’t want it globablly available to you. Just a simple click on the App symbol and you can choose the app to which you want to associate your shortcut. there’s also some options to change the behavior in specific applications. If you’re a true addict this could get really fun – and complicated to remember!
